The Art of Arguing

There will be arguments, disagreements and difference of opinion. There lies a real opportunity for growth in every argument. An argument conducted well can result in lessons and insights learned. Sometimes, you learn something about your partner, and almost always, you learn  something about yourself. Aim to listen and hear your partner and not to push your own agenda. Whether or not you are right is not the point. The point is to foster and encourage open and free communication that occurs organically and without strife. You both should feel free to address any subject, concern or interest without avoidance for peace-sake. Peace should be the default manner to broach any conflict. Speak words that encourage understanding. When in disagreement, aim for understanding.
