Information to make Healthy Choices

29 Jul

pinchosalt.wordpress.com Mr.N and I have been married for over three years and whilst I have always been interested in optimum living, I’m becoming more fierce in my pursuit of education as we start planning to add a few little humans to our family. And let me tell you, I’m struggling to find the right information. I’ve discovered that natural vaginal birth with minimum medical intervention where possible, is the best route to getting the little ones here, but what about providing the best environment for them to develop in utero and after birth? Does the face wash I currently use possess any harmful ingredients? Besides the basic, no smoking or drinking and take folic acid, there’s not much more information involving South African product usage. There are many scientific (and frankly harsh sounding) terms on the products we use in our home, from cleaning agents to shampoo and I’m finding myself increasingly uneasy with my ignorance about what they are and mean. I searched the Internet for a list of safe cosmetic brands available in South Africa and came up short. Is anyone else thinking along these lines and concerned about the ingredients in the products we use? *I should drop my friend Tania a line, think she might have an idea* if she does, I’ll be sure to share what I learn. In the meantime, check these out:
